Please join us for an entertaining and provocative new look at the American foodscape. King Corn is an award winning documentary that tells the story of two best friends who plant an acre of corn using genetically modified seeds and lots of nitrogen fertilizer to grow a bumper crop of corn…and then follow it through the food system.

Proceeds will benefit Slow Food Miami and the delegates to World Food Community at Terra Madre in Turin, Italy on October 23-27.

Slow Food Nation and the National Congress: Labor Day 2008
Slow Food Nation: We are pleased to announce the NEW dates for Slow Food Nation! The 4-day festival will be held over Labor Day weekend (August 29-September 1, 2008) in San Francisco, CA in conjunction with the National Congress. The new date is for a few strategic reasons, one of which is in response to farmers who are eager to show their produce at its peak in late summer. We are also partnering with the city of San Francisco and will be using some of the city’s most emblematic spaces to make the first Slow Food Nation as powerful and transformative as it can be.
