We were thrilled by the great turnout at the screening of Ingredients. More than 100 people joined us at the beautiful Coral Gables museum to watch this wonderful documentary on the importance of eating local food and supporting local farmers. Thank you for supporting this cause. Now please mark your calendars and get ready to bake at our next event on September 25 at The Merrick House.

If you would like to dine nearby, please make a dinner reservation at one of Slow Food Miami’s neighborhood favorite restaurants. Be sure to mention you are attending the Slow Food Film Series. Enjoy a special pre-theater dinner and walk to The Coral Gables Museum by 8:15 p.m. The film and dinner must be reserved and paid for separately.

Parking is available at the Museum garage on Aragon Avenue or the garage across from Books & Books.

Help shape our local food system. Slow Food Miami is a sponsor of the Greater Everglades Community Food Summit on July 12 and 13 at Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus. The event, organized by Earth Learning, Land in Common and other community partners, will serve as a platform to:

Identify and map many of the sustainable, local food initiatives under way in our bioregion;
Develop a shared vision of the healthy, resilient, accessible, and sustainable food system we all need; and
Identify the many opportunities needed to reach our collective vision.
