On Saturday October 1st, Slow Food Miami hosted a worshop for Miami-Dade teachers who are participating in our edible school garden program. More than 60 teachers were in attendance and were treated to a garden demonstration, gardening tips, opportunities for continuing education and of course...lunch! It was a great day and all of us at Slow Food Miami are looking forward to a productive and abundant planting season. By November 1st we will have installed 44 new gardens and refurbished another 40 gardens in Miami-Dade County.
